Товч агуулга:This book explores the origin of Ulaanbaatar not only from a geographical perspective but also through its cultural and political history. The main ideas of the book can be summed up in the following three points: From Home to the Capital: It depicts how the temples moved and how the lifestyle and culture of the Mongols changed during that migration. Art as a tool for political expression: Zanabazar's statues and works were proof that Mongolians under Manchu rule preserved and showed their national consciousness, desire for independence, and cultural resilience. The ideological conflict between Mongol and Qing imperial policy: It is considered that this cultural and artistic integration eventually united the Mongols through a sense of national identity and became the primary driving force behind their separation from the Manchu and the re-establishment of an independent state in 1911.
