As in earlier editions of this text, we have given very little attention to issues that are not commonly studied in law school courses on constitutional law, such as court jurisdiction, conflict of laws, and criminal procedure.
At appropriate points in this text, we refer the readers to our multivolume Treatise and to some other texts that examine those subjects.
Many issues that we cover only briefly in this one-volume text, including litigation problems under the Civil Rights Acts and problems of state and local taxation, are analyzed at length in our multivolume Treatise.
Because of space limitations in this edition, we have had to limit our references to secondary authorities and to court decisions other than those of the United States Supreme Court.
