It draws on material from those newsletters and articles from Fumihiko Takayama's Shukumei no senki—Sasakawa Yohei, Hansenbyo seiatsu no kiroku (Chronicles of a struggle of destiny—A record of Sasakawa Yohei's fight to bring leprosy under control; published in Japanese in 2017 and to appear in English translation in autumn 2019).
