Товч агуулга:The expectations of the problem-solving ability of Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) are high. They are usually viewed as promising solutions to capacity problems in the public sector. However, Lilian Schwalb shows that PPPs have many prerequisites. It focuses on the initiation and development processes of PPP projects at the local level - as a relevant level of social and political shaping. Using the example of projects in the cultural sector, the author examines various PPP forms in case studies. She analyzes the prerequisites and effects of planning large-scale projects in cooperation with various areas of society. Current questions of political and administrative science as well as practical debate on influence, effectiveness, acceptance and legitimacy in governance and participation processes are discussed.
