Another big love of de Rachewiltz, and properly the one for which he is best known, is connected with the Secret History of the Mongols. Work on the Secret History has accompanied him throughout his scientific career. It started with an article on the dating of the Secret History, followed by a transcription of and an index to the Secret History.
