Making Water in Mongolia Available at the Right Time, at the Right Place, and in the Right Quality - ADB publication 2020 - 8

The rapid growths in urbanization and the mining industry, coupled with the impact of climate change, have drawn attention to water insecurity in Mongolia—particularly in Ulaanbaatar, where half of the country’s population resides, and the South Gobi region, where mining industries are clustered. The proposed program presented in this brief is based on findings of the country water security assessment that ADB conducted with the Government of Mongolia’s Ministry of Environment and Tourism.
