Товч агуулга: I think the French have a strange sense of humor and that's why they like Jerry Lewis. And just like watching Lewis, one doesn't know whether to cringe or laugh. 1 minute this poor Poil de Carotte seems to be totally loved by his family and the next minute there are doing everything to isolate and mock him. Each chapter is a short and complete vignette. These short chapters allow concentration of language, imagery and the blooming of the situation the author has placed the protagonist in. Highly recommended, an easy read.
